Today’s post is not for the faint of heart.
It’s for the serious chocolate lovers. The cocoa connoisseurs (wow did I ever butcher that word). The chocoholics who are looking to score some brownie points with their loved ones (or themselves) this Valentine’s Day by whipping up some healthy-but-delicious chocolate laden desserts. This post is for you guys.
I’ve been meaning to introduce recipe roundups to Spoons for quite a while now, and I figured that Valentine’s Day would be the perfect day to start since it’d give me an excuse to scrounge the web for delicious chocolate desserts made healthier. Yup! All these desserts look absolutely sinful, but they’re actually relatively healthy by being lightened up and/or made with wholesome ingredients.
So I hope you find something that makes you and your Valentine weak in the knees. I know the big day is still a week away, but that just means there’s plenty of time to experiment and taste test, right? Right.

I am very interested in the Resident Evil 4 horror game series; this game is very nice, and the character’s jacket inspires me. So I purchased this Resident Evil 4 Remake Leon Kennedy Leather Jacket for my little brother
Oooh cant wait to devour all these chocolateeee deliciousnesses ❤🍘❤🍫❤😙😁 just had a very chocolate drenched Coconut Hot Cocoa ☕😍 one question! what can i use instead of egg??? i keep hearing flax…are there any other good options??? thank you ❤
It really depends on the recipe, Alice. A lot of the time pumpkin puree or mashed banana can be used in place of eggs. Here’s a helpful link outlying different “eggs” and what they’re best used in – http://chefinyou.com/articles/egg-substitutes-cooking/
so awesome! this is exactly what ive been looking for! thank you so much! 😁❤❤❤
That Mexican hot chocolate….consider me weak, VERY weak. I can barely handle all these chocolatey foodgasms!!
Ohhh man. I am reading this on Sunday morning and now craving something chocolatey, gooey, and fudgy with a glass o’ milk to wash it down. You know I’m not even the biggest fan of chocolate, but these recipes are changing my mind no problem!
I came to comment on this post a couple days ago and it didn’t work, but I came back because I’m determined to tell you how amazing these all look, and how much of a chocolate freak I am. Last chocolate treat? Those cats…and then a square of pure chocolate..or two.
Wow!! These all look sooo beautiful!!! The chocolate marshmallows are definitely calling my name 🙂
BAHAHA this post’s question is hilarious! As if I haven’t had chocolate with every single meal for the past 3 weeks. Usually “recipe roundups” suck, but this list is awesome. I keep going back to look at that cough dough chocolate like it’s a picture of shirtless Zac Efron….help….
