It snowed!! 😀 😀

First Snow

Yes, I’m excited. No, I’m not crazy. Snow means winter, and winter means snowboarding (and Christmas!!). Ask me again in a few months and I’ll probably be cursing the white stuff with every fibre of my being, but I’m very much enjoying it for now… especially because the mountain resorts are set to open next weekend and I’m hoping to make it out there to take advantage of early season riding. Squee! But I’m sensing some stank eyes, so enough snow talk for now… let’s talk Daylight Savings.

Did anyone actually get an extra hour of sleep last night? Because this girl did not. My body seems to max out at 6 hours, so I was wide awake by 3:45 and out of bed by 4. I have a feeling that today is going to be a very long day, so thank goodness for the BLOG world and its never-ending supply of good reads…

Love all these links!! Now I need to find the time to read and cook them all!

Yesterday I read my new Jodi Piccoult book, went to the gym and cooked mini cauliflower pizzas.

Today I went for a hike with my boyfriend, we finished watching a movie and I spent some more time catching up on blogging and blog reading 🙂

Wow have you always been someone who maxes out at 6 hours? I usually need between 7.5 to 9 hours sleep a night – without it I feel quite crabby and unproductive. Love your link love – some great reads there.

Definitely not always… and my sleeping patters used to be completely different as well. I was a night owl who would go to bed at 2 or 3 and sleep until 10, but things just slowly started to change as I got older and this is where I’m currently at. Who knows what the next couple of years will bring.

I can’t imagine waking up at 4am. Ugh, that sucks.
I did get an extra hour of sleep; actually it was about ten altogether and it felt awesome. Sorry, not trying to rub it in!

I do think you’re a little nuts for wanting it to snow but I can understand if it means you get to go snow boarding. I’m sure if you’re good at it, it’s a really fun way to get some exercise. I, however, would be on my butt the entire time.

The hydration tip linked with being tired is interesting. I don’t always get enough water during the day because our school water is so gross and I have to find filtered water or else I won’t drink it. Haha. Need to work on that!

Um ya.. My blog is definitely not “healthy” 😛 A little all over the place according to that article.

No extra sleep for me either. My mom changed the clocks at something like 9:00pm last night and I got super confused at what time it ACTUALLY was and ended up going to sleep 1 hour later than normal… Because I thought it was 1 hour earlier than it really was. Lol.

I was wondering if you would consider doing a post on the transitions you made throughout recovery, I read a comment saying there were times when you thought your recovery was pretty much there and then realised more and more anxieties kept resolving themselves. I would be so interested to hear about your experience and phases in more detail- I’m sure a lot of people would be greatful for the story too 😉 xo hope you are having a wonderful weekend beautiful Amanda.

Daylight Savings Time is always a waste of extra time for me where sleep is concerned, since I’m a night owl and an early riser (especially on the weekends when I try to set aside that time to write/cook.) But it’s okay- I’m just using that extra hour to get more done writing-wise.

    Three things I did yesterday:

Went grocery shopping with my mom, twin sister and baby niece. Took some new photos for my blog of a new recipe that I’m pretty excited about. Watched my alma mater football team smash our biggest rival, which pretty much made my entire day.

    Three things I’m doing today:

Finishing up my newest blog post. Getting some fiction writing done (it’s a secret hobby of mine- shhh!) Cooking for my family. It should also be a pretty good day today too 🙂

I didn’t really take advantage of the extra hour because I went to bed an hour later than I normally would…so I got the same amount. I feel like my body has a sleep max as well at around 7.5 hours of sleep. If I’m lucky, 8.5 hours is where it’s at. And hooray for snow! NY probably won’t get any until later this month or even next month. *crossing fingers for sooner*
