I hope you guys are having an amazing weekend so far. Yesterday was definitely one for the books around these parts, and while I wish I could say more, I’m afraid mum’s the word for now. I’ll give you a hint though…
… and let you fill in the rest on your own 😉 So yeah. It’s Sunday. The sun is… well… not shining, but the birds are singing and I have a feeling it’s going to be a pretty good, albeit rainy, day. That being the case, and because my head is still up in the clouds, I wanted today’s post to be a little on the lighter side, and what better way to do that than with a tag.
I’ve been seeing this ‘colors of the rainbow’ tag floating around YouTube lately, and figured it would be perfect for today. What you do is list off all the colors of the rainbow, and then include some of your favorite things from each color. Since most of my favorite things are either food or beauty related, I’ll be doing one of each for all the colors. Aaaaaaaand go…

As for color, mine would be the rainbow, because my favorite color changes daily!! I love all colors!! My wedding color was purple though, so I guess Im kind partial to that, but Im really into the mint green right now!

How do you like the Colossal mascara? I have never been overly pumped about Maybelline products, but this is one I keep seeing pop up in ads/blogs, etc!
I actually really like it – it’s probably the best drug store mascara I’ve ever tried, and definitely comparable to some of the higher end ones. It doesn’t clump if you’re careful, and gives really great volume and definition. I’ve actually had people ask me if I was wearing false lashes on a couple of occasions, so I’ll take that as a good sign 🙂
Totally! I will need to pick some up when I’m in Canada this summer (they have it here in Australia too, but it’s like $20+ or something ridiculous). I’ve always been a L’Oreal fan. One higher end beauty product that I NEVER splurge on is mascara, that’s for sure!
Oh my goodness- I was totally planning to do this! I’ve been watching all of the “Colors of the Rainbow” tags on YouTube and I think it’s such a fun idea! There’s no way my photos are going to be as gorgeous as yours though…le sigh. (:
Watermelon has been my utter addiction lately. I eat it non-stop. My roommate keeps joking that I’m either going to turn into a watermelon or grow one in my stomach…Is it weird that I’m not necessarily opposed to either? Mmm…
PS: I can’t WAIT for details on those flowers!
Based on past experience, I think I can safely say that you’ll neither turn into a watermelon or grow one in your stomach… although you -might- suffer from a watermelon food-baby like I did more times than I care to admit 😉

Oh wow this post is so PRETTY! I love anything rainbow so yeah, this is officially my favorite post of the day ms Amanda! I am not a lipstick person at all, but I think people look great with a pop of red when they get the color right for them. Indigo will always be associated with blueberries… especially this time of year, oh yes they are perfect. Pink= watermelon, absolutely! Give me those summer fruits pronto
Oooo, love it! Life is better with colours. I have never been a lipstick girl, but the other night I decided to throw some red colour on my lips and I felt like the hottest thang around 😉

But until then…My favorite colors are definitely pink and orange – especially when they’re beside each other. I really can’t choose just one! I also love coral and yellow, so I guess it’s safe to say I gravitate towards any and all shades of BRIGHT. 🙂 (By the way, I’m actually asking the same color question in my post tomorrow!)

I would have to agree with the blueberries and watermelons, I’m just loving all the seasonal summer produce right now….winter is such a sad time haha.I really want to try that St. Tropez tan lotion too, I was actually looking for it at Sephora the other day, remembering you’d mentioned it awhile back, but it couldn’t be found! gah! Random color for me…I’ll go with orange. A food favorite would definitely be sweet potato chips, and a life favorite would be a running top my mom got me for my birthday…I may or may not wear it for like 5 workouts out of 6 in a week LOL
Confession: I ate watermelon all winter long 😯 But it’s nice to have the big sweet ones back. And that sucks about the St. Tropez 🙁 Hopefully they’ll have more in stock soon!

Oh my goodness I’ve been eating watermelon like no other recently. I literally just have a giant vat of it every night; it’s fabulous. Random colors…seafoam green (-ish blue…) and lavender: The colors of my nails right now! 🙂
Cute idea for a post. I eat at least one (most days 2 in all honesty) apple a day. Do you have a favorite? I change it regularly since I eat them so much but honeycrisp are the bombdotcom- but so are their prices
Pink Ladies for sure. They actually remind me a lot of honeycrisps. And Ambrosia are really great as well.
Your photography is as stunning as usual but for some reason when categorized by color a smile spreads across my face. I suppose it makes me happy to see such beautiful colourful things! I love oikos yogurt, it is one of my favourite brands. My curiosity is going wild with the whole flowers thing!

My favorite color is YELLOW! Though, I don’t eat much yellow food except for bananas and yellow squash.
To be honest, I have no idea 😕 I just find them in regular grocery stores in the snack foods section.

beautiful flowers…can’t wait to hear more! i think i’m the only person in the world who doesn’t have a favorite color…everything i buy is black…clothes, home decor, shoes etc. i’d go with red for food – apples, strawberries, raspberries, watermelon, tomatoes, peppers. all my faves!
Hehe most of my clothes/decor tend to be black as well, but I try to stay away when it comes to food since it usually means it’s either burnt or… black liquorice 😯

PINK is my favorite color!! For green I would share spinach, because I eat a TON of it and red would be strawberries, another favorite in this part.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I craved/ate watermelon all winter long too. I’m just happy the big sweet ones are back so I don’t have to keep eating the little mini ones.
Can black and white be my favorite colors of the rainbow? No? Find, then I pick blue. As a blue-eyed blonde, blue is definitely the most flattering color on me. My favorite blues right now are my water bottle, the dying blueberries in my fridge, and my ugly shorts I’m currently wearing.

Sorry to steal your answer but red is my favourite colour, too. Or – to give a slightly different answer: coral. Seriously, my mum keeps making annoyed comments about me having a whole wardrobe in that shade already – not true! Yet whenever we go shopping and she spots something in coral she gives me a heads-up. Funny woman.
Because I can’t pick just one colour to share a favourite for I’ll go with all colours of the rainbow as in seeing the latter after rain. It’s a sign for hard/nasty times to be over and the sun peeking out behind the clouds again. Oh the symbolism found in nature …

The last time I bought mascara, I went with Colossal, all thanks to your high praises. I like it! I used to use the purple tube before. Do you know of any ‘green’ makeup that actually works well? My eyes are SO sensitive that I rarely wear makeup because they feel sore & tired just minutes after applying eyeshadow & liner. I’ve even tried stuff for sensitive skin (body shop) with no such luck.
My fav colors are turquoise & green – I think it’s tied into my fascination with water, haahaha.
Hmmm… I haven’t actually played around with too much “green” makeup. Have you tried Tarte or BareMinerals? I know their makeup is more on the natural side and it’s really good quality.

My favorite color is probably red, pink, purple, or blue. It depends…since I like to wear blue, I like red lip colors but also bright pink too…and I think purple is just pretty. I guess that’s cheating isn’t it?
