15 healthy chocolate indulgences

February 6, 2016 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 21 Comments

Happy Sweet & Savory Saturdays, friendly faces! ?

Before we get to the food, can we just take a moment to savour the fact that it’s the weekend? I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve had a rough couple of days, and I’m more than ready for a little bit of R&R. And some good food!

In case you missed the last couple of weekends around these parts, Arman and I started up a new weekly series that’s all about FOOD. Each week we pick a certain theme or ingredient to focus on (announced the week before), and then one of us makes a new recipe based on that theme while the other hosts a roundup and linkup where you can contribute relevant recipes of your own.

Here are the top 3 most clicked recipes from last week’s sweet ‘n’ salty snack theme:

Top SS Snack Recipes

Cheesy Cauliflower Pizza Poppers via My Uncommon Everyday.

Cacao Protein Bars via The January Glow.

Salted Caramel Bars via Goodness Me.

Woohoo! And for those looking to take part next week, the theme will be: PANCAKES ?

So we’re about one week out from Valentine’s Day, and no matter what your opinion is on the Hallmark holiday, you can’t deny that you love all the chocolate and sweet foods that come with it. I mean… just look at these healthy chocolate indulgences!!

    HOLY CHOCOLATE HEAVEN.
I had to write a post similar to this today too; chocolate is ALWAYS necessary. And anything with peanut butter.
But your flourless double chocolate brownies look heavenly…. I’m restraining going to make them right now. But maybe I can this weekend so my family will help me eat them! 🙂

I hate those fake cinnamon flavored things…and especially jelly beans that are pretending to be cherry or something good! And btw, this is one of the most mouth watering posts I’ve seen….EVER!

Those fudgy avocado brownies and the sea salt chocolate covered almonds looks amazing, and I seriously should not be reading food blogs while I’m on hour 13 of a 15 hour fast…..salivating. Also, I’m thirsty as hell. I’m not even allowed water.

Your flourless chocolate brownies are amazing. The Hubby and I both love those bad boys and make them every change we get. 🙂

While I don’t care about Valentine’s Day at all I am all the more interested in chocolate. There could never be too much of that and you picked some very intriguing recipes.
Oh and yes, I”d be your Valentine if that meant spending a day baking, going on a hike and watching Disney movies 😉 .
(Sorry about that unfinished previous comment that got posted too early. Finicky phone …)
