. link love 3/29 .

March 29, 2015 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 30 Comments

Home sweet home!

Pyramid Lake

Well, not technically home, but it sure does feel like it! Is it weird that I actually feel way more relaxed and at peace here in the mountains than I did over in Maui? Maybe it’s an issue of familiarity and the fact that I’ve been coming here since I was a tiny little thing, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — I’ll always be a mountain girl at heart.

So hey! It’s Sunday! And that means it’s time to spread some link love! I hope you find lots of god stuff to read in this week’s collection, and don’t forget to add your own favourite links to the linkup at the end. Have an awesome Sunday! And I’ll see you guys tomorrow 😀

The post on sitting all day is frightening!! I’ve been telling me clients to get to the nearest standing workstation, when at all possible. Did I ever tell you you live near some BEAUTIFUL views??

Thanks for the link love <3! Last week was crazy busy with work so I really tried to make the most out of the weekend and also relax a bit- my Sunday involved getting a head start on work for this week, seeing some family members for coffee and then going to the cinema in the evening to see Cinderella :)!

Right?! It’s so scary! Especially since it’s so easy to get lost on the computer or TV and sit for hours without even realizing it…

Glad you are enjoying the mountains. I hope you get some great boarding in or at least some good book reading if the weather isn’t cooperating.

I love the Lentil Mac & Cheese. Love it.

Also, I wonder if the new strong versus skinny really is just switching from one disordered way of thinking to another. I’d like to scratch both of those and just go with healthy. Seems to me this should be the end game anyway, and it doesn’t have anything to do with size, shape, weight, etc.

You know I completely agree with you on that one 🙂 I think getting too fixated with any sort of body image is unhealthy, especially since there’s only so much we can control… We may never look like our body ideals simply because we’re built differently. Better to focus on feeling healthy and happy.

I not a beach girl either. The sand gets everywhere, I sweat a lot and I fry very easily. My parents have a house in the mountains and it’s just peaceful when I visit.

I really do love the difference that it’s made in my teeth! And another great natural beauty practice to try is dry brushing — I notice the biggest difference in my skin, circulation, and energy levels when I do it regularly.
