. link love 11/16 .

November 16, 2014 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 27 Comments

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Looks Like Christmas

… and I don’t hate it! I know, I know — you’re not the only ones who want to smack me for being excited to see the white stuff — but I can’t help it! Not only does snow mean I can go snowboarding soon, but it also means that Christmas is right around the corner, and I know you guys are looking forward to that just as much as I am. I can’t even tell you how hard it’s getting for me to force myself to wait until December 1st to bust out the Christmas decor, but I’m doing my best [by keeping myself distracted with way too much internet browsing] πŸ˜‰

Hope you guys enjoy the Link Love this week! And don’t forget to add your own! I may introduce a new feature starting next week where I highlight the top 3 or 4 links that were clicked from the week before. We’ll see how it goes!

Snow is so pretty, but shoveling and having to dig out my car are not so pretty. lol I won’t hate on you too much ;o)

Yesterday: went with my brother’s fiancΓ© to get a dress (!!!) and she said YES (!!!), baked a pumpkin cheesecake dessert, and watched Magic Mike (mmm) with my mom (not so much). hahah!

Today: baking something else because pumpkin cheesecake was a flop (oof), taking a drive to exchange Eagles’ gear, and watch the Eagles’ game later!

I have so many thoughts and feelings about snow (haha) – I’m actually super excited for NYC’s first snowfall of the season but of course I’m dreading the inevitable sub-zero temps and frigid wind. Tis’ the season!

I’m tolerating the cold surprisingly well. I took Atti to the dog park yesterday and we were out there for like an hour and a half and I didn’t feel like I was freezing to death! So there’s that.
Yesterday: took the dog to the park, watched Breaking Bad, studied up for my interviews Monday.
Today: more studying, going to a Christmas Bazaar in town, going to bed early.

I’m still looking for a good Advent calendar! Most of the nice ones I’ve found “may contain traces of peanuts,” so I might have to end up looking for one that is filled with something like makeup instead πŸ˜†

I saw a few flurries this week but nothing stuck. I usually like snow the first time we get a dusting, but I get sick of it real quick! I also don’t mind it the days I don’t have to go anywhere, or if I get a day off of work:) But shoveling is no fun!
Lots of great links this week!

I am not interested in snow this year. As I get older, I find myself not liking it as I did when I was younger…Three things yesterday – short run, shopping, out for dinner…Three things today – 10k race, I think ice skating after that with my son and maybe baking some donuts.

I cannot even imagine snow right now. Last night I was sitting on the porch after dinner writing posts. The weather was perfect and gorgeous. Mid 70’s in AZ. I think I would die if it snowed. Lol…

I’m going to be excited the first time I see snow too! But then it gets really old the first time I have to shovel a foot of it. Loved some of these articles from this past week. The restricted versus limited diet one stuck out to be because sometimes taking care of yourself really does mean NOT eating certain foods, and it’s important to understand motives for the way we choose to eat.

Not wanting to shovel snow was actually one of the reasons I bought a condo instead of a house πŸ˜† And I agree about having to avoid certain foods for health reasons — it’s unfortunate and not always easy to admit, but it really is true.
