. laughter is the best medicine .

November 10, 2012 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 54 Comments

What a goofy day.

You know those days where you just wake up feeling off? And no amount of chocolate/naps/coffee make you feel any better?Β Yeah. Today has been one ofΒ those days. Not a bad day, per say, but a day where I’m basically just waiting for the clock to hit an hour where it would be considered socially acceptable to go to sleep. Speaking of which, is 7 considered too early for a Saturday night? Yeah, I thought so too.

In that case, I’ll resort to the next best thing – humor. You know how they say that laughter is the best medicine? I think they’re definitely on to something. I spent a good chunk of my day browsing Pinterest and figured that I’d share some of my favorites with you in case you needed a little bit of cheering up of your own. Enjoy πŸ™‚

I feel better already πŸ˜€

. – . – . – .

Can you relate to any of those? πŸ˜€

It’s Monday, which means that #2 pretty much summed up my morning! Oh heck, it sums up *every* morning. I include coffee in my gratitude list each day because I can’t imagine where I’d be without it. I figure that of all of the possible addictions, a coffee addiction isn’t so bad. πŸ˜‰

The rest of these pins provided a great laugh, which is exactly what I needed this afternoon. The last one is a serious anxiety-provoking situation that occurs way too often in my house. Major arachnophobia over here!

    I hope you’re having a wonderful Monday, Amanda! <3

Haha these are great! My Sunday involved me sitting on the bed for literally the entire day just watchingTV and working on my blog. I also had to fast and was starving so I wanted to avoid burning any excess energy πŸ™‚ And oh man the spider saying couldn’t be truer. Not killing any sort of bug before it disappears is the worst, especially if you’re about to go to sleep.

Oh man Pinterest is my favorite go to for making the clock go by. If I could I would happily spend my whole day on that site, but that isn’t socially acceptable to some πŸ˜‰

Ah hope your Sunday is off to a better start, my friend! I hate those days where I’m in a funk but at least they make me appreciate the better days even more so :)! Thanks for the multiple laughs…those E-cards never fail to bring a smile to my face, especially as I find myself guilty of so many of them! As for the one about the bra and underwear, I think it was made for me! As I walk through my door, off comes the bra and pants in favor of pyjama bottoms!

    Have a wonderful day, Amanda!

Those days are definitely rough, and it can be so hard not to want to crawl back in bed for the rest of the day, but humor makes everything better!

To-do lists, on the other hand, I love! Since I’m still a student I always cross off the days left until a break from school and I just get happy when I cross off the days. Even if a break is weeks away, it feels just a little bit closer if I have a countdown!

The one about the list – YES! So something I would do, the more crossed off items I see, the more productive I feel. Even if it’s along the lines of “brush my teeth” or “eat breakfast”.

Good to know my friends and I apparently aren’t the only ones giving each other that look in university when our professors tell us to “find a partner”. Hey, we can behave grown-up later still, right ;)?!

OMG hairless legs, face wash commercial. Oh and the having dumb? My motto in life. I often have to explain to clients who call in the morning..”haven’t have my coffee yet” and I can pull it off cause they like me …but to my friends? LOL. When I have my lapses…they just know.

PS- LOL i am doing the health 30 day thing too and I wrote such a similat post not a 1/2 hour ago but your finds made me giggle more than mine! It’s been a day full of medicines.

bahaha. I LOVE MR. BEAN!!! And all of these. Oh, girl, you’re in my brain. I absolutely NEEDED these right now. I’m exhausted and it’s going to be a very, very long night. I hate waking up in a funk. But spending a Saturday brooding in a (love-sick? ;)) induced funk can be fun too. I really, really, really, really hope you made the most of it!! By wasting as much time as humanly possible, of course!
Added incentive on staying up until at least 7pm — my email will be heading your way at or around that time (Edmonton time, too!!). πŸ˜€ Sending love and wishes of flannel pjs, warm blankets, yummy drinks, and giddy feelings inside when you think of your man. πŸ˜‰ xo
