. link love 2/9 .

February 9, 2014 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 44 Comments

Happy Sunday, friendly faces!

How’s the weekend been treatin’ ya? Good I hope. Mine’s been busy but productive, with lots of time spent running errands and baking new recipes in the kitchen. That being said, I plan on doing almost nothing today other than eventually heading over to my parents’ to have dinner and watch the Olympics — I don’t want to start the week feeling like I didn’t even have a weekend. I hope you guys are enjoying a relaxing day as well, and I hope you’ll find some helpful reads in this week’s edition of link love. Don’t forget to add your own favourite post to the link up!

Ahhhh! THANK YOU!!! I so need to read that article on the About Me page…since we’re going on FOUR months since I said I was going to update it! I keep avoiding it because I’m completely lost, but geez, Heather, it’s not going to write itself! #facetopalm Also, the 25 Things You Need to Stop Wasting Your Time On? Perfect. I’d say it couldn’t have come at a better time, but the truth is, it could have come at ANY time as I’m guilty of so many on that list. Which is why I bookmarked it and plan on reading it again and again until it finally sinks in…and until I’m finally able to let go of a few grudges in my life. Thank you. xoxo

Hey love! Just popping in to say hello. I missed Sam’s post on the Biggest Loser, so I definitely need to check it out. I missed a million posts on Thursday and Friday while I was traveling, but I leave again tomorrow (Florida, ahh!) and I am honestly too tired to read them all. But I hope all is well in blogland and that you’re surviving the cold!

Love all of your link love! I also really loved Sam’s Biggest Loser article, I thought it was very well written.

As well as Carly from Snack Therapy and Becky from Olives and Wine’s one on Somethings Gotta Give which I could totally relate to.

I have been watching the Olympics and it has been really cool to watch. I think I love the figure skating best but I don’t always agree with how they judge it all.

Bah! I have absolutely no idea with how they judge things either. I literally almost threw the remote at the TV over some issues I had with the snowboarding competition. Fail judges… major fail.

Oh my word. Those cheesy sweet potato puffs. I think I’m in love or at the very least lust.

Three things I did yesterday: I went out for drinks to celebrate a friend’s birthday, I did 35 push ups (the girlie kind) in 1 minute (I’m training for a challenge at my gym), and I cleaned my living room.

Three things I did today: took a long luxurious soak in the tub, made Chickenless Noodle Soup and caught up with you. Whew, it’s good to be back.

We’ve had the Olympics on a bit … honestly, I don’t watch “live” TV anymore and I seriously can’t remember how to turn our television to live programming (it’s usually on the Roku for Netflix and such). My gym downstairs doesn’t have “live” capabilities either (that’s really the only place I ever “watch” anything anymore). I do find the events interesting, especially living in Utah, as we were the host city in 2002. The Olympic Oval is just 10minutes from our home and it’s now open to the public for skating and such.

Yesterday – Elliptical, Basketball Games and some laundry.
Today – Elliptical, Blogging and taking care of sick son (instead of the usual church)

I barely ever watch TV either. I don’t have cable at home, so the only time I can really see anything is when I’ve over at someone else’s place. I do love watching the snowboarding though ๐Ÿ™‚
