. link love 8/10 .

August 10, 2014 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 33 Comments

Happy Sunday, friends! πŸ˜€

I hope the weekend has been treating you well! Mine’s been good for the most part. Slow, but that’s exactly what I needed to be able to catch up on some things since I was away last weekend. Does anyone else find that if certain things don’t get done on the weekend, they never manage to get done during the week? Definitely the case for me, especially with blog related things — hence why I was MIA from Spoons for a good chunk of last week.

BUT! Despite not posting, I was still reading… and since I was still reading, I have a bunch of great posts to share with you guys in this week’s edition of link love. See ya tomorrow with a new recipe!

I’m so grateful you posted the link about taking better photos with point-and-shoot cameras! I took the plunge and bought a new one this weekend so it’s been fun testing out different settings :)! Hope you are having a lovely Sunday. Three things I did today include:

    1) Lunch with the family
    2) Played around with the camera
    3) Caught up on reading

Why can’t it be Sunday every day!!

I love Fitness Blender – always recommend to clients because there are such great workouts for a variety of levels and times. Also – you should definitely make a solo-vacation happen! I did a 2-day one a few months ago and it was amazing … already planning the next one! πŸ™‚

A solo trip is definitely on my 5 year plan…I’ve never been to Europe, so I think that needs to happen before I’m 30!
Yesterday: went to the gym, went to see the Ninja Turtles movie, took myself out to lunch at the farmers market.
Today: studying/practicing my defense, taking the dog to the dog park….and then the first one again.

    Happy Sunday love!

Aright today I am commenting before I read the links, only because I have about fifteen of them open. That should take me at least an hour…or maybe I will skim them, as I’m getting better at that particular task only because I’ve had to. Ahh, change by necessity.

Thanks for sharing my quiche. I really appreciate it. πŸ™‚

You are not alone. Weekends are my chance to get stuff done. I’m way too tired during the work week to try to accomplish all the things.

Great links- I’ve already checked out a few. I still need to look up the one about Linked In. I have it, but I’ve never used it. Also, the pinch of yum July income report had such helpful hints in this month. Always love reading those. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

My weekends are the only time I have to catch up so if I’m gone, nothing gets done. Ugh my crazy life! You should definitely do a solo trip! I started doing it two years ago and it was invigorating. It’s about being confident with yourself enough to do it. I really enjoyed it!

Love the morning rituals link. I love the idea of stretching and doing yoga in the morning! I love the idea of giving yourself 3 things to accomplish during the day. Attainable goals are always satisfying!

    I think I need a kettle ball!

Yesterday: went for a run by Lake Michigan, bought a new pair of dress pants for work, watched my boyfriend work on his golf swing at the driving range
Today: buy a kettleball (I’m not kidding), go to “market days” street festival (neon trees will be there!!!!), make tilapia and veggies for dinner
