. daddy’s little girl .

June 19, 2011 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 38 Comments

As much as I love you guys for all of the beautiful comments you left on my last post, my heart will always belong to this man first and foremost…

I’m definitely daddy’s little girl.

Always have been. Always will be.

And I’d like to think he’s quite smitten with me as well…

Even if he was originally hoping for a boy 😉

. – . – . – .

My dad is my hero, and a big part of who I am comes down to the caring and loving way that he raised me. But… I’d like to think that I’m rubbing off on him as well…

And now if you’ll excuse me, I have a [decaf] coffee date with a very special man, and I’m thinking hoping some of these will be involved as well…

Happy Father’s Day, loves.

See you tomorrow!

. – . – . – .

Did you do anything special for Father’s Day?

I’ve always admired the close relationship some daughters have with their dads; it seems almost magical to me. I wish I could be a “daddy’s little girl”, but my dad and I just have never had that kinda of connection… oh well. We had a little family get-together with the usual: dinner, cards and presents, cake… it was also kinda of a birthday-combo deal, since my dad turned 51 on Friday as well!

    my heart is melted.

p.s. you totally looked like Dora the explorer when you were a little tot 🙂

p.p.s. in the second picture of you and your dad you are rocking almost the identical beautiful pose as you are in your current picture on the sidebar. So I take it you were always a little beauty queen?! I love!

I didn’t see my dad until dinner since he spent the day watching my sister at a golf tournament, but that gave me time to bake him something earlier this afternoon 🙂
I hope you had a wonderful day and coffee date with your dad!!

My dad and I spent all day yesterday together and I made him breakfast this morning. There should be a Father’s Week as far as I am concerned. One day just isn’t enough for these awesome guys!

I like how you mentioned you might be rubbing off on him as well. As kids we don’t realize how much we can impact our parent’s lives just as much as they impact ours. Loves!
