. link love 11/8 .

November 8, 2015 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 29 Comments

What.is.UP, friendly faces?!

It’s Sunday yet again, and that means it’s time for some good old-fashioned link love… with a little self-love (read: recipe pimping) thrown in for good measure πŸ˜‰

In case you missed it, I put up the recipe for this Hot Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie yesterday, which you might want to check out if you like chocolate. And breakfast. And warm and cozy drinks.

Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie

The crazy thing is that we haven’t seen really been needing warm and cozy drinks around these parts… Normally we’re buried in snow at this time of the year, but the snow has seriously been lacking and we’ve been seeing rain more often than not. They weren’t kidding about that El NiΓ±o thing…

But you’re not here for small talk about the weather, so let’s get to the good reads!

I didn’t -love- it, but I din’t think it was horrible either. Definitely not my favourite Bond movie, but it was entertaining enough. I’d probably be fine waiting and seeing it on DVD though.

the weather here was so insanely warm this week – it felt like summer did in Alberta. I’m not a winter person so I definitely appreciated it!
yesterday: binge-watched a stupid amount of lost (like, i don’t even want to say how many episodes i watched because it’s embarassing. definitely checking out that workouts during tv thing…), went to the farmer’s market, went to a friend’s for a birthday party.
today: helping a friend study for her midterms, having dinner with the family, and maybe going to the gym.

I have made a few comments about how our weather has been so amazing in MN because of the El Nino, and so many people have commented back “I don’t believe in that”. Haha, since we are usually in the freezing temps by now, and the fact that we aren’t, has me convinced.

Hey, what’s wrong with a little yeast?! It makes the best buns. πŸ˜‰

I think stress so often gets overlooked, and its impact on us is huge, sometimes more so than the foods we ingest.

I’m a champ in the bathroom. I know you wanted to know that.

Yesterday: I got to see a lot of family I haven’t seen in years, drove from Buffalo back home to Cleveland, and I ate a caramel apple with a side of Cheez Its and raspberries for dinner.

Today: I’ve already made candied walnuts, submitted some recipes to FoodGawker and I intend to see a bunch of friends later this afternoon for less than ideal circumstances. It’ll be good to see them though. It’ll be the first time since the big news too.

It makes the best buns as long as someone else is making them πŸ˜› And I love that you’re still on the raspberry and Cheez Its kick. Balance at its finest.

I meant to tell you yesterday that I am eager to try the hot chocolate smoothie. I haven’t been blending up anything these days so remind me! 3 things yesterday – long run, time at the mall and out for dinner 3 things today – Pure Barre class (in the studio!!), catching up on errands and stuff, out for lunch.
