Happy Sunday, friendly faces! And hellooooooo from my happy place!

In The Mountains

Also known as: the mountains. I’m up here this weekend, escaping city life and saying goodbye to this girl before she heads back home (glad AB was good to you, lady!!)

It’s been a good handful of months since I’ve been out here, and I can’t believe how much my soul needed the trip. Yes, it sounds 100% cheesy, but it’s also 100% true. There’s just something about being out here that feels so right — I really don’t know how else to explain it. That being said, it definitely feels a little strange to be here and not be snowboarding, but…. soon. Soon.

So hey! I hope you’re having an awesome weekend too, and I hope you find the time to check out some of these awesome links I came across this week. I’ll see you on Tuesday with some good food! πŸ˜€

I totally know what you mean when you say your soul needed the mountains – that’s totally how I feel about Algonquin and northern Ontario. Spending my summers up there when I was younger always put me at such peace with the world and myself. Talk about cheesy lol!

I’m so there with you, in how being away in “your” mountains makes you feel, and how it’s so good for the soul. I’m lucky enough to have just had a day in “my” mountains here in Scotland, recharging the batteries! πŸ™‚

Ah what fun that you & Sam hung out yesterday- that’s one party I’d like to crash ;)! My Sunday involved plenty of reading, going to the cinema to see the Intern and grabbing a Starbucks with a friend—> total relaxation!

Glad you got up to see the mountains! My happy place these days us the beach and I get to go weekly :). Yesterday was my grandmother’s birthday and had a big padty5. Then I joined some friends for a Bachelorette club crawl. It was a ton of fun but I sure felt my age! I was dying in my wedges. Haha. Thanks again for your sweet words Amanda on my post last week. You are amazing.

I love this country. <3 Okay so, 3 things I did yesterday: went for a run (duh), went on a date with Andrew to the Keg and tried scallops (meh) and went to sleep at a decent hour for the first time in forever. Today: going for a run (duh), bringing Freddy to his rugby game, and going grocery shopping.

I am so glad you’re having such a great time with Sam. That lady is fantastic.

Yesterday: went for a long walk with the Hubby, made banana bread (YOUR banana bread) and repotted some plants which needed loving.

Today: caught up on Blog Loving (two snaps and a twirl), hopefully some yard work, blog writing and kitchen antics. I’ve got my work cut out for me, but I’m doing it in doses. Smart huh? I think so. πŸ™‚
