. 14 quick & easy no-bake energy bites .

April 27, 2015 by Amanda @ .running with spoons. 49 Comments

You can probably tell from most of my recipes that I like to keep things pretty simple in the kitchen.

Minimal ingredients that are usually made up of simple pantry staples. Minimal hands-on time that usually involves a blender or food processor doing most of the work for me. And minimal prep and clean up, which usually means I can be in and out of the kitchen in under 20 minutes. Quick, easy, delicious and nutritious are my recipe requirements.

That’s why it’s probably no surprise that no-bake recipes are among some of my favourite [to make and eat]… especially no-bake energy bites. Not only are they super simple to make, but they taste amazing and they’re usually loaded with a lot of my favourite ingredients, like oats, nut butter, and dried fruit. That and they’re so customizable that you can never really get bored of them. Heck, check out some of these amazing combos that I came across!

It’s no surprise that my first answer is balls. πŸ™‚
And Almond Butter! Still can’t get friends with Peanuts. I absolutely LOVE all those no bake stuff…..only minus is, that I mostly eat all the dough before it is actually formed into balls. Too greedy.

I hear that! I usually have to guess how many servings a recipe makes since I eat so much of the dough beforehand πŸ˜†

Oh my lanta, those cranberry pistachio bites just made me drool at the title! And the raw brownie pictures. GAH food photography = hunger.

I like my BALLS with peanut butter, chocolate, oats, and without protein powder. Specifically, I like my balls drizzled with chocolate. (TWSS πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ )

No bake is my game in the summer months when Phoenix is an oven & I can’t bear the thought of turning mine on to make it even hotter. I’ll have one of each of these please!

Yeah I couldn’t imagine baking in that kind of heat. Have you ever tried baking in a toaster oven? That’s what I do when it’s too hot out!

I prefer peanut butter in most things (sorry!). In bites, I’d say chocolate over vanilla, definitely with oats. I don’t mind protein powder…as long as it doesn’t have the weird protein aftertaste. That’s what I can’t get over with many powders. I have found a few good ones that I like though! I generally say balls, but bites sounds better! πŸ™‚

AB over PB for me. I make it at home and it is the most delicious thing ever. I keep meaning to make bites (balls?) since they are so quick and you can customize them however you want, but I don’t know what stops me. Maybe I will start out with some of these πŸ™‚

Oh me gawsh!!! What an awesome lineup to start this week off with! I wish these were all lined up for me to actually taste test right now – in person! Oh well…a gal can dream…

I don’t think I could pick either AB or PB – I love ALL nutbutters – so far!
I gotta pick chocolate when it comes to cakes and bites – but vanilla when it comes to ice cream – and bites or balls – I have no clue – only the latter incites giggles in my home when I tell my daughter to eat her balls! πŸ™‚
